LAZAROV MAKES HISTORY

National.

Scoring 15 goals in the last match against South Korea, Macedonian handball star Kiril Lazarov brought his total goal tally to 92.

With this, he broke the 23 year old record held by Kjung Shin Yoona who at the 1986 World Championship in Iceland scored 86 goals. Lazarov who had already been voted as the best player at the championship by Danish Media, has branded his name in record books as the top scorer in the history of all World Championship, and will keep his name there for a long time to come.

The Macedonian handball players were welcomed as gods when they returned from Croatia this weekend. A massive crowd of fans and even the prime minister showed up to congratulate them while afterwards there was a big party in Skopje. Macedonia finished 11th but they were welcomed as if they became the world champions, instead of France. It's nice, but maybe a bit overreacted no? What do you think?

Yes it is, especially after the lack of motivation they showed at the games with Denmark and Serbia. Before those they were great, even when they lost they fought hard. But those game sucked...
