This is a big tragedy for Macedonian community in Australia, now in shock following the disaster that happened in King Lake in the southern state of Victoria, Vasko Angelovski, ZZZ Radio Melbourne's Macedonian news editor, told Ohridnews portal.
He added that images of charred homes and devastated communities in hardest-hit areas are dreadful.
A series of wildfires, fanned by the hottest temperatures on record, tore through southern Australia over the weekend, killing at least 100 people in the country's deadliest natural disaster. The blazes swallowed at least 750 homes and scorched more than 380.000 hectares of land.
Macedonians in Victoria state are put at jeopardy as wildfires had burnt a number of cities. Thousands of firefighters and troops are battling raging fires.

181 people are dead and this is going to rise. People have nothing. lucky for the generosity of fellow Australians we will help and group together as a nation.
I am Australian and I am totally shocked by what has happened in my country I hope others keep others in theie prayers in this worst natural disaster. I am sure Macedonian Australians are all included as we are all Australians no matter what ethnic background. Thats whats set Australia apart from some other Nations.
