TRADING OLD PUNTO FOR NEW
National.
Serbian authorities are considering the possibility to offer state subsidies to citizens in the neighboring countries when buying Punto vehicles.
According to B92, the Ministry of Economy is likely to offer the citizens of Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Albania a chance to trade in their old Puntos for new model of Punto, to be manufactured in Zastava plant in Kragujevac.
There are no precise figures on the trade-in although Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic said Tuesday that Serbian citizens could be entitled to EUR 1.000 subsidy.
News reports said the price for Punto basic model will be set at 7.300 euros. If traded with old Punto, the new model could sell 5.999 euros. Once the new car price is settled, the customer can apply for up to seven year car loan.
