EXPENSIVE ALCOHOL PERMITS
he extended time for the sale of alcohol until 9 p.m. during the summer is an acceptable solution for Macedonian traders, which will help them increase the sale. The owners of shops who do not have permits for the sale of alcohol intend to obtain them now.
The permit costs MKD 20,000 and is valid for two years. After they found this out, traders complained that the permit was too expensive and that they would not obtain it. Namely, most shops do not have daily turnover of more than MKD 8,000, and people buy only bread, vegetables, milk, and not wine, lately.
The obtaining of the permit is not profitable so illegal sale of alcohol in parks is prospering. Small businesses recommend MKD 10,000 tag for alcohol license, instead of the current price.
