KODZABASHIJA TO MAKE MUSIC SERIAL FOR BBC
Culture.
Nikola Kodzabashija, a Macedonian composer and music professor who works at the Royal National Theatre in London has been engaged by BBC to make a three-part documentary music serial, “Race Through Time.” Kodzabashija said it was about one of the most serious and comprehensive projects BBC plans for 2007. The project deals with many aspects and the phenomenon of races, culture, racism, nationalism and their history since the ancient times. The project will be directed by three directors including Paul Tickell, the winner of several Baftas.
“This was a great surprise for me because one week ago I was approached by BBC and asked whether I was interested to do the sound design in the serial. Normally, I said yes because such TV chance probably comes once in 10 years,” Kodzabashija said. According to him, the shooting of the serial has already started in parallel on four continents. Besides the BBC audience, the project is intended for and has already been sold to a few US and European TV networks.
Kodzabashija has also been engaged these days by his home theatre to write music for a children’s play based on an Anglo-Saxon legend, besides his regular engagement at the National theatre and Plymouth University.
MD: Good for nikola, we wish him all the best!
