PRESTON LIONS CONTINUE UNBEATEN RUN

Australian Macedonian football club, Preston Lions have continued their unbeaten streak to eight games, defeating the Sunshine Georgies 1-0 at Chaplin Reserve last weekend.
Zoran Petrevski scored the winner for the Lions in the 51st minute, in what was John Markovski’s first game as coach of Sunshine.
Preston nearly extended their lead in the dying minutes, but Gasparis was unable to connect with Thomas Tolevski’s low cross. The win moves the Lion’s up into second position on the table, while Sunshine remain in the relegation zone.
Preston coach Goran Lozanovski was pleased to get three points away from home. “History shows we haven’t gotten a good result here for the last 15 to 20 years, but history means nothing to me until you break it.”. (Petrevski) just keeps getting better and better, and he adds so much to us up front so I think other teams are going to fear him.”
Especially next week a big crowd is expected as the Preston Lions Football Club meet rivals Heidelberg United (Greek based club) in round eleven of the Foxtel Cup (VPL) on Sunday 20th of May at 3.00pm at the home of the Lions BT Connor Reserve.
