CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST MAYOR OF AERODROM

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) pressed criminal charges against the mayor of Skopje municipality of Aerodrom, K.T. (59) for reasonable suspicion of misusing official authority.
In the charge that Public Prosecution Office submitted to the Department of Economic Crime, K.T. is charged for damaging the municipality with 2.201.819 Denars (around 35.000 Euros) and acquiring personal gain for himself of 257.108 Denars (4.200 Euros).
The mayor of Aerodrom in 2006 and 2007 published a journal of the municipality, contrary to the decision of the Municipality Council, made alleged "official" trips abroad and in Macedonia, which were paid for with official funds and opened a bank account without authorization for use of credit card for his own needs, the police states.
