SLOW TRAINS CONSUME 300 LITERS OF FUEL PER HOUR

National.

Huge expenses for fuel for old train engines in Macedonia are the reason for the discontinuation of the operation of four passenger trains in the country, Macedonian media informed.

According to the information the lines Skopje-Veles-Bitola-Tabanovice will be closed. Zivko Nikolovski from the Transport Federation notes that the Macedonian railways have old engines, which consume 300 liters of fuel per hour. According to him the Skopje-Bitola train consumes more than one ton of fuel during one trip.
