TOSE'S DRIVER TO BE TRIED IN MACEDONIA
The trial of Gjorgji Gjorgjievski, the driver of the late Tose Proeski, will take place in Macedonia, the Croatian internet portal Index cited the District Public Prosecutor Stjepan Haramustek as saying.
According to him, the entire case will be transferred to the Macedonia judicial authorities, and Gjorgjievski will be released once his medical condition is improved.
Although previous reports suggested that the Macedonian citizen would be tried in Croatia, Haramustek said that after reviewing the documentation, it was concluded to leave the case to the Macedonian authorities.
"Given the fact that both of them are Macedonian citizens, we concluded it would be best to give up competencies over Gjorgjievski and to hand him over to Macedonian authorities once he is released from the hospital", Haramustek said.
MD: The Police raised formal accusations for causing a traffic accident against Gjorgjievski, who drove the jeep in which Tose Proeski was killed.
