MACEDONIAN ANIMATOR WORKS ON "BEOWULF" MOVIE

Macedonian animator Orde Stevanovski worked on the latest Hollywood animated blockbuster, “Beowulf,” directed by Robert Zemeckis. Stevanovski, the author of the Macedonian first 3D-animated film, “Levy in Love” is living in Los Angeles and working for Sony Imageworks.
In “Beowulf,” which stars Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich and Angelina Jolie, Stevanovski was hired as Color & Lighting Technical Director. He said for Vecer that he worked on virtual lighting and compositing, i.e. composing all the layers of digital elements: characters, backgrounds, effects etc. in a final scene. “I am working on testing and developing internal software until the next project that should start early next year,” he said. He was a user of scholarship of the Institute of Film and Animation with Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. His previous film stint was in the Serbian feature film “Charleston and Ognjenka” (2060 where he worked as the visual effect producer.
Based on a Nordic epic, “Beowulf” has still been among the top ten box-office record movies with 76 million dollars after several weeks of showing. Critics see it as a step forward in the film animation and 3D technology
