CENTRAL COOPERATIVE BANK BUYS TWO MACEDONIAN BANKS

The Bulgarian "Central Cooperative Bank" received consent from the National Bank of Macedonia (NBM) to acquire "Postenska Banka" and "Sileks Banka".
The consent was issued at the end of last week by the Governor of the NBM, Petar Gosev, his cabinet announced on Tuesday.
The transactions are to be completed within 180 days, and the Bulgarian bank could acquire two-thirds ownership of "Postenska" and 100% of "Sileks" bank.
The total financial potential of the "Central Cooperative Bank", according to the revised financial report at the end of 2006 was 578,8 million Euros, and the capital position was 60 million Euros, increased in December 2007 to 98 million Euros.
