MAN KILLED BY LOCOMOTIVE

An old man was struck and killed by a train near Gjorce Petrov railway station late on Tuesday, police said.
Ministry of Interior said the locomotive, owned by Macedonian Railways, was driven by J. M. It hit the pedestrian Alija I. (94) on the railroad tracks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Interior Ministry gave no additional details as to the cause of the accident, which happened Tuesday around 19:00 hrs.
