ORTHODOX THEOLOGY FACULTY MARKS 30TH ANNIVERSARY
Skopje-based Orthodox Faculty of Theology "St. Clement of Ohrid" marks Monday its 30-year anniversary. Given the occasion, a formal ceremony took place at the faculty which was attended by the head of Macedonian Orthodox Church, H.H. Stefan, rector of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University Gjorgji Martinovski, chairman of Committee on Relations among Religious Communities Zvonko Mucunski, bishops, priests, university professors, academicians and students.
- In 2007 we mark 30 years of the establishment of the Orthodox Faculty of Theology in this our, modern form (1977-2007) or 1121 years of the theological studies that laid the foundations of St. Clement's University in Ohrid (886-2007), said faculty's dean Ratomir Grozdanovski in his address.
So far, 1.229 students were enrolled at the Orthodox Faculty of Theology, out of which 248 obtained their diploma during the past 30 years.
The Macedonian opera bard Boris Trajanov performed at the ceremony, where also an exhibit of Macedonian iconography was opened.
