SPECIAL AWARD FOR THIRD EAR

The representative of the Macedonian stand at the MIDEM Music Fair in Cannes, the Macedonian Third Ear producer has been awarded with a special Crystal Cube for successful presentation of Macedonian music in the world. The 42th edition of the largest music fair in the world was held at the prestigious Palais des Festivals in Cannes in the final week of January and included around 10,000 participants from 96 countries.
Macedonia took part with its own stand under the constitutional name, and a collection catalogue for presentation of all influential music companies in Macedonia and a compilation CD with traditional, ethno, pop, rock music were produced for the event. The sponsor of the Macedonian stand was the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia. British legend Peter Gabriel was pronounced the Person of the Year at MIDEM 2008.
