MACEDONIA DEEPENS RELATIONS WITH ISRAEL
After the US, Macedonia has deepened bilateral relations with Isreal. In a few days, the Government will open a communications office in Tel Aviv.
"With Israel we have rich cultural ties, as well as deep traditional ties between the Jewish and the Macedonian people, and because of this it was needed our relationship to evolve in different fields; education, economy, culture, agriculture, as well as increase our presence in Israel." said Government's spokesperson Ivica Bocevski.
"We have chosen Tel Aviv for our diplomatic mission, and not Jerusalem, because most diplomatic offices are in Jerusalem, and also because we don't want involvement in the Israeli-Palestine dispute," he added.
For first diplomat at the Macedonian Mission in Tel Aviv is chosen famous Diplomat and writer Pajo Avirovik.
Soon, is expected the Israeli Government to cancel visa requirements for Macedonian citizens, which has been held up for a year because of bearucratic procedures. Tel Aviv - Skopje charter flight will be established as well.
