OHRID TO HOST WATER CONFERENCE

The third international scientific conference BALWOIS 2008: Water Observation and Information System for Decision Support will be held in Ohrid from 27 May to 31 May.
The main topics of BALWOIS 2008 are: climate and environment, hydrological regimes and water balances, draughts and floods, integrated water resources management, water bodies protection and ecohydrology, lakes and wet lands, hydrological modellization and information systems and technologies.
The event, organized by Balkan Institute for Water and Environment, will bring 150 scientists from 35 countries.
The conference is held under the auspices of Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France.
French Ambassador to Macedonia, H.E. Bernard Valero will attend the opening of the conference.
