ISRAELI TOURISTS IN OHRID
National.
A group of 214 Israeli tourists arrived via charter flight at the Ohrid's airport "St. Apostle Paul" on Monday, Makfax's correspondent reported.
Ohrid is expecting about eight thousand overnight stays by Israeli tourists until end of October, thus realizing the eight-year long efforts to attract tourists from this country.
A traditional welcome reception was staged for the guests from Israel, who were served with "lokum" and brandy in the Metropol hotel.
Boro Taseski, the manager of the hotel compound Metropol-Bellevue, said that the overpriced flight tickets had been averting the Israeli, German and other foreign tourists from Ohrid for years.
According to him, the hotel prices are affordable for the foreign tourists.
Except for Ohrid, the Israeli tourists will pay visits to Struga, Mavrovo and Bitola. The second group of visitors from Israel is due to arrive in Ohrid on 30 May.
MD: Welcome to Macedonia!! Keep the tourists coming ;)
