IVO TRAJKOV HONORARY AMBASSADOR IN CZECH REP.



Culture.

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski handed the title Honorary Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia in the Czech Republic to director Ivo Trajkov yesterday. Trajkov is a graduate of the famous FAMU Czech Academy in Prague where he also works as the Head of Editing Department. He is the author of a number of films made on current topics that made his recognized and respected in the Czech Republic and elsewhere. His film “The Great Water,” a Macedonian-Czech co-production, was the Macedonian candidate for Oscar.

Having received the title, Trajkov said: “I will continue to do what I have been doing until now only that it is now official. All this is made with the aim of recognition of our identity. That has already started with the Cinema Days workshop which has managed to ensure fantastic cooperation between film workers in the region and confirm our identity in the best possible way.”
