OHRID BALKAN DANCE AND SONG FESTIVAL OPENS

The 47th edition of the Balkan Festival of Folk Songs and Dances opened in Ohrid on Sunday, organized by center of culture "Grigor Prlicev", supported by the Ministry of Culture.
Thirteen folklore ensembles and cultural-artistic clubs from Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, Albania, Turkey, Montenegro, Costa Rica, as well as several ensembles of Macedonian clubs from the diaspora will perform in the course of the six festival evenings.
Skopje ensemble of folk songs and dances "Tanec" opened the festival on Sunday evening, preceded by a folklore parade through Ohrid streets.
Moreover, an exhibition of wood carvings of association "Kopanicari" from Bitola is displayed in the gallery of center "Grigor Prlicev".
