MANCEVSKI TEACHES AT BELGRADE FILM SCHOOL

Macedonian director Milco Mancevski teaches at the European Summer Film School in Belgrade, Serbia, including the best students from schools in Cologne, Rome, Moscow, Toulouse, Tel Aviv, Banja Luka, Lisbon, Belgrade, Saint Petersburg, and Bratislava, all members of the International Organization of Film Academies. Belgrade’s Faculty of Dramatic Arts is the event organizer.
“The school works on the principle of renaissance workshop. We film intensively at locations and studios in Belgrade, I give them concrete cinematic tasks, and by the end they will work on a film”, says Mancevski, who also teaches direction at the New York University.
Moreover, retrospective of his three films (Before the Rain, Dust, Shadows) began Thursday in cinema “Balkan”, organized by renowned Serbian director Darko Bajic.
