7.7 MILLION EUROS FOR STATE CAMPAIGN

Nikola Gruevski's government had spent 474 million denars (7.7 million euros) on campaigns in 2007, according to financial report released by State Auditor's Office.
The cost of the campaign "Invest in Macedonia", during which the country was promoted as Europe's most-desired business destination in newspapers in 35 countries around the world, stood at 3.3 million euros, the State Auditor's Office is quoted by Utrinski Vesnik daily.
The Auditor also found that 812 million denars were set aside from 2007 budget for realization of government's programme. This is three times higher than spending in previous year 2006 when 222 million denars were set aside for this purpose.
Most funds - approximately 203 million denars - were allocated to realization of campaign Invest in Macedonia, Utrinski Vesnik daily said.
The cost of anti-corruption campaign and the cost of campaign to promote education and the Macedonia-made products stood at 270.621 denars (4.4 million euros).
