The number of passengers taking flights or landing from and to the Skopje's airport Alexander the Great in 2008 climbed by 4.1 percent compared to 2007, to reach a total of 652,339.
The airport's announcement says that as many as 13,303 flight operations were realized in the course of 2008.
The number of cargo shipments last year totaled 2,777.06, marking 8.9% increase compared with 2007.
The most frequent was the period June-September, when 30,000 passengers had been departing or arriving at and from the Alexander the Great airport by charter flights.
