ROMAN GRAVE STELE FOUND IN BITOLA REGION

Culture.

A roman grave stele has been discovered in the village of Zabeni, in the Bitola region. The citizens of the village discovered it while they they conducted construction works.

"with additional analysis we hope we'll get an answer to the question whether there is a new archaeological locality in the village of Zabeni or if the stele belongs to the already discovered one from the Neolithic period" ,Said Anica Gjorgievska, archaeologist of the Bitola museum.

MD: The stele on the picture is not the one which is found, it's just to give you some idea a how a stele looks like.
