SRECKO KATANEC ANNOUNCES SQUAD AGAINST RUSSIA
Sports.
Macedonian coach, Srecko Katanec has announced his selection for the Uefa Euro 2008 qualifier match against Russia on the 15th of November. The selection is almost the same as in the matches against England and Andorra however without our best player, Lazio's striker Goran Pandev because of a received yellow card in the game against Andorra. AC Omonia Nicosia player Vlatko Grozdanovski is back in the team while FK Sileks player, Stevica Ristik is making his debut for the Macedonian national team.
The preparations for the match will start on Sunday where they will train at the FK Rabotnicki training ground and also in the Skopje city stadium.
MD: Too bad Pandev is missing however we are very positive about this squad and they certainly have big chances for victory. There is also a friendly match coming up soon, Norway is the possible opponent however a big South-American tour was mentioned too. We'll let you know when we hear more.
