BURNS SUPPORTS NIMITZ EFFORTS
National.
US Department of State Under Secretary for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns stated that USA support the mediating efforts in finding a mutually acceptable solution to Greece's name dispute with Macedonia, MIA reports.
During a visit to an exhibition in the Jewish Museum in Athens, Burns stressed that USA support mediator Matthew Nimetz in his efforts, as well as that Washington is in constant contact with the two governments.
We are confident that the two governments can reach a solution on this issue. We hope that this will not represent an obstacle to the good relations between the governments in Skopje and Athens, said Burns, who formerly served as US Ambassador to Greece
MD: This comes imediatelly after the renaming of the Skopje Airport, we'll see if there will be any solution between our governments, but
Macedonia should not bend to Athens, not now, not tomorrow, never!
