BRESCIANO PAYING A VISIT TO THE LIONESSES
Sports.
The Macedonian Australian Preston Lions Womens team were treated to a surprise visit at their training session last week by none other than Australian Socceroo midfielder Mark Bresciano.
Mark, currently playing for Palermo in Italy's Serie A, was back in Melbourne taking a well earned break before the start of the Asian Cup, which kicks off in early July. Having played a key role in getting the Socceroos to the World Cup in Germany there is little doubt he is as keen to ensure Australia does well in their inaugural Asian Cup appearance.
Training was quickly forgotten when Mark arrived as the girls took out cameras and snapped away. Mark made his way to B.T. Conner Reserve to see how first cousin Stephanie Briffa was going. Stephanie is one of Preston's best performers this season and has the potential to go far.
After saying hello to the girls and wishing the Preston Lions Womens team success for the season Mark left knowing he has the support and best wishes for him and the rest of the Socceroos in their challenge for the Asian Cup.
MD: That's really cool, Mark is a great player and we can imagine the lionesses loved it!
