MORLEY GIVEN TWO YEAR PROBATION SENTENCE
National.
British citizen Nicholas Morley is sentenced to two-year probation for causing a traffic accident nearby Struga towards Qafasan border crossing, in which married couple Cepuljoski were killed.
The probation sentence, which was delivered by the Sruga-based Primary Court's Criminal Council, will not be executed if Morley commits no other crime in a period of three years. He's been released from custody and is to restitute 88,000 denars of court costs.
Morley was accused of hitting the Golf, driven by Vladimir Cepuljoski, while participating at the international rally "Gumball 3000" on May 2 with his speeding Porsche. Both Cepuljoski and his wife Margarita died of severe injuries.
Upon hearing the ruling, Morley left the Struga court, ostensibly satisfied with the outcome. His mother Pamela said this was an incredibly stressful period for Nick, whereas his family was impatiently awaiting his return back home.
Nicholas Morley's defense had no comment on the ruling, saying that Morley would not be leaving immediately for Great Britain. Instead he planned on staying several more days in Ohrid.
