Corridor 8 is of special mutual interest of Macedonia and the Italian region of Puglia, and there are also possibilities for cooperation in the fields of technology and innovations.
Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski and the Governor of Puglia Region, Nicola Vendola, shared this position at today's meeting in Skopje, government's press service announced.
Puglia Region strives to become an official promoter of the Corridor 8 project, as the investments in the infrastructure and transportation in Puglia are aimed at stepping up the communication and cooperation with the Balkan's countries, Vendola said.
Gruevski and Vendola agreed for elaboration of Macedonia-Puglia Region joint projects that would be put forward before the EU institutions for support.
Governor Vendola is also leading a business delegation that seeks to effectuate the cooperation with Macedonia in many areas.
