Bulgaria’s Karlovo should join the association of Balkan towns with historical value, Macedonia’s Ohrid Mayor Aleksandar Petreski will propose at the association’s next meeting, it turned out during Sunday’s talks between Mr. Petreski and Karlovo Mayor Emil Kabaivanov that were held in Ohrid, a journalist of FOCUS News Agency reported. The two agreed on a few joint projects in the field of culture, art, education and tourism.
This year Ohrid ensembles will visit Karlovo and Karlovo’s mummer’s groups and folklore ensembles will visit Ohrid in early September and on December 8 for Ohrid’s holiday.
MD: Karlovo Mayor made a special invitation to Aleksandar Petreski to take part in national holidays on occasion of 170th anniversary of Bulgarian national hero Levski’s birth that will be marked on July 18.
