OPENING OF FIRST BIO FUEL REFINERY

A ceremonious opening of the first certified refinery engaged in production of biofuels in Macedonia has been announced for Thursday noon.
Makpetrol's biorefinery, located in the Skopje's nearby Ilinden Municipality, will have a production capacity of 30.000 tons a year.
As many as 20 employees are already working in the fully automated refinery. The biofuels produced in the facility is in compliance with the Macedonian and world standard EN 14214, which allows for mixing with the fossil diesel fuel.
MD: According to Makpetrol, 8 million euros out of the 12 million euros of total investment have been used for the equipment and machinery employed in the production process.
