“Euro 420,000 will be allocated in 2007. Italian representatives have told us they would help us in the archaeological sector. According to the project, there won’t be any new research or excavations, but a presentation of what has already been found in Heraklea Linkestis”, said Tuesday director of Bitola Bureau and Museum Zoran Nikolovski.
He added that special means would be allocated for the sites’ security, paths and signs, as well as illumination of mosaics and other valuable details at Heraklea.
MD: Macedonia has formed an excellent cooperation with Italy in archeology since the finding of the tomb of the last Macedonian king Perseus in Italy.
