French Ambassador to Macedonia Bernard Valero took part Wednesday at the three-day regional meeting on audio-visual cooperation at mountain Pelister near Bitola.
According to Ambassador Valero, the gathering is held as a result of the intensive cooperation and assistance provided by France in this sector, as well as investments in the Macedonian Radio-Television (MRTV) Parliament Channel, opening of a higher film school in Skopje, along with the due opening of a French-Macedonian company for film music production.
"We will promote the new mixed company on Saturday, i.e. the French-Macedonian enterprise for film music production. It will be located in the MRTV building, using the institution's studios", stressed Valero.
Regarding the three-day stay in Bitola, Regional Attache for Audio-Visual Cooperation in the Balkans Pierre Emmanuel Pessemier emphasized that largest attention was given to current state in Macedonia.
"We registered progress in this field, but also good ground for future cooperation. Therefore, we will intensify the presence of our operators", underlined Pessemier.
The meeting was attended by about 30 representatives on audio-visual cooperation, who are actively working in Belgrade, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Athens, Sofia and Budapest.
MD: The initiative comes from private investors, who have analysed the necessity for such project in Macedonia.
