GOVERNMENT TO NOMITE PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMATS FOR AMBASSADORIAL POSTS

National.

Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski said that the Government has accepted the proposal to nominate professional diplomats for the vacant ambassadorial posts for endorsement by the President Branko Crvenkovski.

Gruevski announced today that the Government decided to nominate candidates that are currently employed in the Foreign Ministry.

Last week, Crvenkovski said that in order to overcome the several-month dispute with the PM, he would accept all candidates for new Ambassadors nominated by the Government, under condition they are professional diplomats.

MD: Finally, it looks like this situation is settled.
