MACEDONIA TAKES ON ESTONIA

Sports.

Today, our national football team will hit the field yet again for a Euro 2008 qualification match. They play Estonia at 20.30 local time at the Gradski stadium in Skopje.

After another loss of the national squad last Saturday in Moscow against Russia, which ended in 3-0, Macedonia really needs to win this game, and they probably will, but we should not be so positive anymore.

Srecko Katanec, the coach of the national team of Macedonia was forced to make changes in the squad before the qualifying match against Estonia after the suspensions of Goran Pandev and Igor Mitreski because of the yellow cards they received on the match against Russia.

The 18 men squad proved to be a big mistake. Srecko Katanec called up only 18 players in front of the two qualifying matches against Russia and Estonia played in four days. Only on couple of days before the away match against Russia, the striker Stevica Ristic got injured, so Katanec additionally called Goce Toleski from the Czech club Most who joined had to join the team later than the other and missed the bigger part of the preparations.

Anyway, the game is again being aired on Macedonian TV A1.
