The Hague Tribunal acquitted today Ljube Boskoski from the indictment of command responsibility, and sentenced Johan Tarculovski to 12 years in prison.

The Hague Tribunal sentenced Johan Tarculovski to 12 years in prison for murders and violation of the customs of war.
The trial of Boskoski and Tarculovski began on 16 April 2007 with presentation of prosecution evidence. The defense began on 30 January and wrapped up on 18 March this year. The closing statements were presented on 6 and 8 May 2008.
The Hague Tribunal launched investigation into five cases stemming from Macedonia's 2001 conflict. The two former officials are the only indictees from Macedonia to appear before the Tribunal. Another four cases were returned to Macedonian courts.
The other four cases include maltreatment of workers of Mavrovo construction enterprise, closure of Lipkovo dam, abduction of 12 civilians, and NLA leadership.
