TRIAL ON TOSE'S DEATH

The trial on car crash that killed Macedonian pop icon Tose Proeski on 16 October 2007 in Croatia opened in Skopje's court on Monday.
The prosecutors filed charges against Georgi Gorgevski, the driver of the vehicle, for causing traffic accident with fatal outcome. If found guilty, the man can be sentenced up to five years in jail.
The investigation has established that the jeep Tuareg was speeding at about 150 kilometers per hour when it hit a truck.
After the crash, the jeep turned upside down and hit the protective fence near Nova Gradiska, Croatia.
Gorgevski and Tose's manager Ljiljana Petrovic sustained minor injuries.
