The students of Albanian nationality boycotted Thuesday's classes in the Struga's high-school Niko Nestor.
Makfax's corresponded said that the town's mayor and the school's principal decided to cancel all classes in this schools.
The principal Mare Saveska said that the second-shift classes, which were due to be attended by the Macedonian students, will not be held out of security reasons.
"There are incidents, but after the meeting of the parents of Albanian students, we found out that Albanian students - who should have been present in the morning shift - might come to attend classes in the afternoon," Saveska said.
Xhejmi Hajredini, the head of the Struga's office of the education ministry, said that the decision for holding classes in separate shifts could not be put into practice because of the opposing stances of the Macedonian and Albanian parents.
He announced an urgent meeting of all relevant factors, aimed at finding a way out of the deadlock.
At the same time, Macedonian students in another Struga's high school boycotted the classes Tuesday morning.
Musa Musai, the principal of Ibrahim Temo high school, accused VMRO DPMNE for the current situation in the Struga's high school center.
"All this events are happening because of a single reason - to put a Macedonian as a Mayor of Struga. But, this game is a very dangerous," Musai said.
