RESEARCH AT SKOPJE FORTRESS ON THE NET

Archaeological research at Skopje Fortress can be followed daily on the Internet. Although parts of website www.skopskokale.com.mk are still being developed, visitors can read the basic information on the history of the Skopje Fortress.
Ongoing research is presented from the start up to March 15. Latest findings are presented by sectors, each illustrated with several photographs.
Archaeologist Dragi Mitrevski, who is the research manager, said;
“Research at Skopje Fortress has resulted in the necessity for a website. Due to the large media, public and scientific interest, everyone can follow the course of the archeological research, along with the most significant findings”.
This is the first archaeological excavation in Macedonia that is being followed on the Internet.
