SCANDALOUS BROIL IN MACEDONIAN PARLIAMENT

National.

A scandalous broil involving MPs of DUI, DPA and PDP broke out in the Macedonian Parliament today.

DUI's Vice President, Teuta Arifi, requested medical attention after being verbally attacked by the leader of DPA Menduh Thaci and the party's deputy Ruzhdi Matoshi in the course of the deputy groups' coordination meeting.

She was admitted in the parliament's dispensary and subjected to ECG test. According to the media reports, she is in stabile condition. The brawl ensued after Vejseli's criticized DUI's MPs in his address during a parliament's session. The fierce reaction of this party's deputies prompted the Parliament Speaker Ljubisha Georgievski to call a recess.

Some of DUI's deputies attacked Vejseli in the parliament's lobby, prompting the security of the parliament to intervene. Vejseli told reporters that he was first hit by Sadula Duraku, and then attacked by the entire DUI's deputy group.

PDP's leader added that he received verbal threats from the coordinator of the DUI's group, Rafiz Aliti. Members of the special police squad Alpha are present outside the Parliament building, and tow trucks are removing the vehicles parked around the parliament building.

According to the electronic media, a weapon has been found in one of the vehicles. Police inspectors are currently interviewing parliament's security services, seeking for information on initiators of the incidents.

SDSM's leader Radmila Shekerinska accused the ruling power for contributing to the conflict situation, while the head of LDP Jovan Manasievski requested from the Interior Ministry to identify and punish the perpetrators.

MD: Unbelievable, this does much harm to the image of our country, which makes it look like countries such as; Zimbabwe or Swaziland more and more everyday.
