SPECIAL PANEL TO PROBE INCIDENTS IN PARLIAMENT
National.
The Macedonian Parliament adopted promptly at today's session a decision on setting up a Special Panel to investigate the incidents that took place in the legislature home on Monday.
Deputy's group of the ruling VMRO DPMNE tabled the motion to form the Panel that has been tasked to establish the circumstances that led to the incident and to identify all involved. DUI's representatives did not attend the session.
While elaborating the motion, MP Silvana Boneva pointed out that the Special Panel is due to establish as soon as possible who was responsible for the incidents that "rocked the Macedonian public and damaged the country's reputation".
The Panel has been given seven days to submit a report to the Parliament.
Deputies of DUI, DPA and PDP took part in the incident that occurred in the Parliament's premises last Monday. A journalist of A1 was assaulted by DUI's bodyguard, and two cameramen of Alsat were detained and shortly after released by the Police after recording the events outside the Parliament's building.
MD: It's a shame such a thing could happen, many western newspapers were full of it, showing this stupid situation.
