Culture.

About 250 visiting performers from 12 countries will take part in the White Night, an event that is held in the Skopje centre on Saturday for the third time. The City of Skopje and city cultural institutions are the organizers of the programme that will take place in 29 venues and will include 50 contents 20 of which are concerts and as many are shows.

The central event is a parade of Argola, a Slovakian artistic group and the French acrobat group Malabar, which will have a performance at the city square also marking the final day of the Young Open Theatre.

“The idea is to gather all generations in one place with the White Night. The event is an absolute attack on all senses, aggression against non-creativity, kitsch and pollution,” director of the event Bojan Trifunovski said in a press conference yesterday.

The National Gallery of Macedonia and Tocka Cultural Centre as well as three cafes in Skopje are joining the event with their own contents.
The organizers announced that the public transport enterprise, JSP Skopje is introducing a few free bus lines after 6.00 p.m. on Saturday and the Ministry of Economy will allow longer hours for the cafes in Skopje.
