ELENOVSKI: MACEDONIA'S BORDERS ARE SAFE
National.
Macedonian Defense Minister Lazar Elenovski rejected allegations of the Serbian Government that armed groups are deployed in the northern part of the country, Makfax's Tirana correspondent reported.
"The territory of the Republic of Macedonia and its borders are under full control", Minister Elenovski said today at the summit of the Adriatic Charter member-countries in Tirana.
He added that the Macedonian Government won't allow any deployment of armed groups, which, according to the Serbian Government, have plans to penetrate in Kosovo and southern Serbia, once the independence of the province is declared.
Elenovski held talks in Tirana today with his Albanian and Croatian counterparts Fatmir Mediu and Mate Raboteg. The interlocutors discussed the modalities of stepping up the activities aimed at receiving an invitation for membership in NATO.
