MOSAIC FLOORS UNEARTHED AT PLAOSNIK
Culture.
Lavishing mosaic floors from the Late Roman Imperial period have been unearthed in a structure archaeologists believe was the temple of Dionisius at Plaosnik. The mosaics are marvelous and are so compact and made almost without space between the small stones they were made of.
They form fantastic images such we have not had in this site so far - some geometrical motifs of fortresses, unusually presented motifs of the flora and fauna etc., Pasko Kuzman, director of the Directorate for Protection of Cultural Heritage said quoted by the Vreme.
MD: Very interesting, they keep finding new treasures more and more
