MACEDONIA ALWAYS NEXT TO YOU
Culture.
A Macedonian literary caravan is taking part in the Book Fair in Sofia (5th December through 9th December) with the motto: Macedonia Always Next to You. In carrying out this interesting idea of Dejan Pavlevski, of Matica, Macedonian Commissioner at the Fair, the focus is put on presentation of Macedonia and its beauties as a cultural factor and a brand in the Balkans and Europe.
“We had to think of something that will present us to the world through our valuable works as well as through the written word. Besides books, our stand will present posters, banners, flyers and photographs with the beauties of our country. So, the marketing will be especially put emphasis on in this fair, Pavleski said before leaving to Sofia.
Polls of fair visitors will be conducted with questions such as: Have you ever been to Macedonia?; Have you heard of the Skopje Jazz Festival?; …that Ohrid is a UNESCO-protected town?; …that Lake Ohrid is one of the deepest lakes in Europe? etc. which are unavoidable part of our and the world ethno-historical culture.
Tomorrow, the third day of the fair is dedicated to Macedonia. Hundreds of flyers, photographs and T-shirts will be given and everything presented on our stand will be related to our ethno and cultural heritage, folklore and music tradition.
The Sofia Fair is organized by the Bulgarian Writers’ Association and Publishers' Association.
