PUBLIC BIDDING FOR POWER PLANTS

Seven Macedonian and five foreign companies submitted as much as 58 tender bids for construction of 28 small hydro-electric plants in Macedonia, which were opened today in Skopje.
The foreign companies that took part at the public bidding include the Austrian "Energie Zotter Bau" „CO-VER“ from Italy, „Purferco participation holding“ from Switzerland, „Poteza“ from Slovenia and „РСС“ from Germany.
Eltek, Fidko, Ingmark, Flexpower, Enigma 3D, Elma, Energetika Engineering, Eureka Plast, MZT Pumps, Omega and TGS Tehnicki Gasovi, are the domestic companies that expressed interest for building of the plants.
The international tender for granting concession licenses for exploitation of water for electric power production from 28 power plants with individual capacity of 5 MW, was announced last September.
The small hydro-electric power plants will be built under the principle design-construction-operation-power transfer.
This is the second tender for construction of small power plants in Macedonia, after the initial one, when 60 locations were offered.
MD: The granted licences will be valid for 20 years.
