ALBANIA USES FYROM AS PROTEST
National.
Albanian national television called Macedonia by its provisional name FYROM late Thursday in a protest of Macedonia's plans to change visa issuance procedures.
Makfax correspondent said Albanian national broadcaster commented the latest decision by Macedonian foreign ministry to issue visas at the embassy in Tirana. The broadcaster didn't use Macedonia's constitutional name, but he used FYROM reference instead.
The broadcaster made it clear that visa issuance alterations are doing disservice to Macedonia's economy.
Other media in Albania said the two neighboring countries are likely to reach a compromise and facilitate the visa regime, but most media blame Macedonia of improper move towards Albania.
Albanian tour-operators claim up to 80 percent of travel agencies work with Macedonia.
