'THE LAKE LAND' AMONG BEST DOCS IN PROGRESS

In the competition of over 100 films from the entire world within international contest of independent film authors “Docs in Progress”, in cooperation with network “Nomadsland” with head offices in Washington, documentary “The Lake Land of Nicola K.”, directed by Goran Trencovski has been selected among five best in 2007.
The 17-minute-long film is produced by the Macedonian Television, done according to motives of prose “Towards the Other Land” by Mitko Madzunkov. The documentary also won an award at festival in Novogard, Poland, and has already been screened in the Czech Republic and Greece.
The film focuses on the spiritual energy of the Macedonian native, opposite to the ecological disaster of one of Balkan’s oldest lakes – the Dojran Lake.
