AIRBUS USES MACEDONIAN SOFTWARE
National.
European airplane-maker Airbus uses highly-sophisticated software made in the Skopje-based Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the faculty said in a statement released on Thursday.
The Faculty says it's a package of 20 computer programmes in fields spanning cooling, heating and calculations of thermo-dynamic measurements and cycles.
"Given the fact that Airbus is a company that uses a technology at highest level, it is a great success for us," the statement says.
Dr Risto Ciconkov is the author of the software. He has been working to develop this software since 1980. The international affirmation kicked off in 1944, when the software was exhibited at the International Fair for Heating, Cooling and Air Conditioning, held in Nuremberg, Germany.
"Since 1944, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is a regular exhibitor at the fair. Our computers programmes are being used by a number of institutions and companies in many countries around the world," the faculty said.
