DELEGATION TO HONOR ST.CYRILL IN ROME

National.

The tomb of St. Cyril has been and remains an open epistle and reminder for everyone that a holy deed before God and all nations endures as an eternal lit candle which illuminates the longest distances regardless of time and space, said Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia H.H. Stefan on Thursday evening in Italy's Ministry of Culture, promoting the book "Forty Pilgrimages on the Tomb of St. Cyril the Philosopher in Rome", thus starting the manifestation "Macedonia Honoring St. Cyril".

The book, written by Vera Stojcevska-Antic, Slave Nikolovski-Katin and Bisop of Herakleja Kliment, consists information on all the visits of state and church delegations in honour of St. Cyril, since the first arrival in 1969, coinciding with the 1,100-year jubilee since his death.

In addition to the book launch, an exhibition "Folk Costumes and Jewelry from the Republic of Macedonia" was opened in organisation of the Museum of Macedonia, which in the Italian Culture Ministry will be opened until May 30. Welcoming addresses were also delivered by Culture Minister Arifikmet Xhemaili and Macedonian Ambassador to Rome, Ljupco Tozija.

A State-Church delegation on Saturday for the 40th time will bow on the tomb of Slavic Apostle St. Cyril in Rome. The delegation is led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, who is expected to arrive in Rome on Friday.

Tomorrow he is scheduled to have an audience with Pope Benedict XVI and with Dominique Mamberti, the current Secretary for Relations with States in the Roman Curia for the Holy See.

It's a good thing to honor the Greek monks who gave all of you Slavs an alphabet.

Yes,Thank God they invented a new language for us..I dont blame them..Who wants to teach and learn your shity language.

Our shitty language is the one that your so called ancestors were speaking. I assume you are not so proud of them. Not so proud of Alexander and Philip because there were speaking Greek, writing Greek and had Greek culture…

Hmm.. maybe they were not your ancestors… :-)

Hmm.. he we go again Greek's claiming Macedonian language hmm...
We don't need to cut and paste evidence again do we??? Monk's always Greek no other language. Always Greek hmm... hmmm... 195 countries and always Greek for eveything...hmm...
