"I AM FROM TITOV VELES" IN CANNES
Culture.
“I Am from Titov Veles” of Teona Mitevska will be the first Macedonian feature film that will take part at the Cannes Film Festival. The film has been invited in selection ACID-agency for distribution of independent film, as well as in the official selection of “Pavilion Sud”.
ACID is a parallel selection at the Cannes Film Festival, which includes only ten films from the entire world, intended for their promotion and sale. “I am from Titov Veles” will have three projections on May 17 and 18.
The Macedonian film, which is a co-production of four countries, is also assisted by the French Foreign Ministry. In the framework of this year’s selection “Pavilion Sud”, upon the initiative of the French Foreign Ministry and the Sud Fund, a Week of Female Directors is organized, including “I am from Titov Veles”. Director Mitevska is invited to hold a lecture on directing, and take part in the debate on world cinematography, organized within the Pavilion Sud, in the framework of the Cannes Film Festival.
MD: Very good! It's great to see a Macedonian film taking part in such a popular and important film festival!
